WiFi Hotspot and tethering in android are familiar in these days, We can share our phones mobile data to connect another phone, tablet computer or even android TV to the internet. Just consider a situation, if you’re out of network coverage area and you are already connected to password-protected WiFi but you don’t know the password and you need to connect your tablet to the internet. Your WiFi hot spot won’t help you in this situation because the android system is built-in a way that it will automatically disconnect the connected WiFi and only share the internet from mobile data. Here we can share the internet in two ways either on Bluetooth tethering or USB tethering. Most Android phones can share mobile data by Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, or USB
Share internet with Bluetooth Tethering
Bluetooth Tethering is similar to Wifi hotspot it’s sharing your phone’s mobile data connection with another device such as your laptop or tablet. Its allows you to connect the Internet through your phone’s data connection or even with Wifi.
Following steps explain how to share the internet connected through WiFi using Bluetooth
- Set up the other device’s network connection with Bluetooth. if you are already paired ignore the Step 1 and 2 .
Step 1: Turn Bluetooth on or off
1.Swipe down from the top of the screen.
2.Tap Bluetooth Bluetooth
Step 2: Connect
1.Swipe down from the top of the screen.
2. Make sure Bluetooth is turned on.
3.Touch and hold Bluetooth.
- After pairing on your phone, go to settings > Wifi & Internet > Hotspot & Tethering.
- Turn on Bluetooth tethering
USB Tethering
Important: Mac computers can’t tether with Android by USB.
- Connect your phone to the other device with a USB cable. A notification shows at the top of the screen.
- Go to settings > Wifi & Internet > Hotspot & Tethering.
- Turn on USB tethering.
Extend battery life while tethering
- Plugin your devices while tethering.
- Turn off tethering connections when you’re done with them.
- If your phone can turn off your hotspot for you when no devices are connected, turn on that setting.
